I just finished reading the 448 page “Cover Your Ass” book by agent Blaine. As a former Secret Service Agent and the first African American to be appointed to the White House Detail, I was dismayed at the continued attempts by former agents to deny culpability in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The attack upon my credibility in the book, “The Kennedy Detail” was expected; but I was hoping that the former Kennedy body guards would show a modicum of contriteness in the book instead of trying to blame Kennedy’s assassination on the President himself. Unlike the general reading public, I was an agent during the critical period on November 22, 1963. In my book, “The Echo from Dealey Plaza”, I relate to the public what I saw while serving on the white house detail and the disrespect and hatred towards the President that I heard expressed by some of my fellow agents.

Although, Blaine refers my claims of racism in the secret service white house detail in 1961 as being unfounded, on page 25 of my book, I document by secret service file memo 3-11-602-111 the stark racism that prevented me from carrying out my protective responsibilities in Miami Florida. Mr. Blaine also states in his “cya” book that Agent Faison, who was the first African American permanently, assigned to the White House Detail in 1963 took issue with my “unbelievable” charges of racism in the secret service. If there was no racism in the secret service in 1963 then how is it that just eight years ago, 57 African American Agents filed a class action suit, (that is still pending in federal district court) charging overt racism by the agency.(see http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=17358992)?

Blaine and other agents can feed the public with the “cya” account of the secret service actions during the Kennedy area but I was there and was a witness to the incompetence, laxity of certain agents surrounding the president, the drinking and cavalier attitude among many of the agents on the detail, the references to President Kennedy as being a Ni—r lover and their disdain for his stand for racial justice and equal opportunity for All Americans. I was present among a few agents who were discussing the protection of President Kennedy in which the statement was made that if an attempt were made on the life of the President, they would take no action.

Blaine states in his book that I said that I discussed the conduct of my fellow agents on the detail with Chief James Rowley. I make no such claim. On page 45 of The Echo from Dealey Plaza, I specifically state that I discussed the problems of Kennedy’s protection with Chief U. E. Baughman. I did not go to Rowley because I knew that he already knew of the conduct of the agents and would do nothing about it.

As far as agents being forbidden to ride on the special running boards of the presidential vehicle, that rumor was not circulated until “after” the assassination of the president. There was no official memorandum or other notification of such an order advising agents of this change in protective policy. This rumor is no more than a scandalous assertion put forth by agents who failed in their duty to properly protect the President of these United States.

Lastly, Blaine derides me concerning the Kennedy investigations that took place in Chicago during November, 1963; however, he has no knowledge of the chicanery that took place in the Chicago office of the secret service during that time. Unlike Blaine, I was there. I was there when in early November, 1963 the Chicago office of the secret service investigated a character named Echevarria. Echevarria stated that President Kennedy was about to be assassinated. I heard the investigating agent dictating the reports in early November, 1963. The investigation took place prior to the assassination in Dallas. On the afternoon of November 26, 1963, Inspector Kelly, SAIC James Burke, and representatives of the FBI had a meeting in the Chicago office of the secret service. Kelly and Burke were the lead investigators representing the secret service in Dallas prior to the assassination of Lee Harvey Oswald. The Echevarria investigation took place during the first two weeks in November. I was there in the office when the reports that had already been dictated by the investigating agents and typed by the secretaries were rounded up and banded in a single stack in the office of SAIC Martineau. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that these collected investigative reports were dictated by the agents PRIOR to the assassination of Kennedy. However, after Kelly and Burke ended their conference, these same reports were restructured and the dates of the investigation were changed to indicate that the Echevarria investigation was conducted AFTER the assassination and had reference to the concern for the protection of President Johnson as Blaine claims in his “CYA” book. I was there. I know what happened and Blaine may fool the general public, but he can’t fool me.

Blaine refers to me as the convicted felon and uses that phrase in an attempt to discredit me and my autobiography, The Echo from Dealey Plaza. I may well be a convicted felon but I sleep well at night knowing that I did everything that I could do to save the life of President Kennedy. Can the agents standing on the running board of the follow-up car in Dallas, Texas and watching the president’s head blown to pieces, say the same thing? I doubt it. They know the truth too.

Once you read it, you'll never think of Oswald the same way. Far from an assassin, he sacrificed his life trying to protect the President: a President who tried to break free from the grip of the Illuminati.

BAKER'S STORY

Judyth Vary had a dream, to find a cure for cancer. So when other kids in high school were going out for sports and cheer leading, she honed her biology skills with the help of a dedicated teacher. Her research won her state-wide prizes and offers of prestigious scholarships.

It also brought her into contact with Dr. Alton Ochsner, head of the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. Unknown to Baker, Ochsner was working with the CIA on a plan to kill Castro. The plan was to develop a "galloping" cancer virus that would kill its victim within weeks. Under the guise of medical treatment, it would be injected into Castro.


In the spring of 1963 Judyth was in college, hoping to go on to medical school. Dr. Ochsner invited her to work at his clinic under his assistant Dr. Mary Sherman. In the fall, she could go to Tulane Medical School, and her tuition paid in full.

She arrived in New Orleans in April 1963, alone and poor, but with high hopes. It was then that -- seemingly by accident -- she met a young man named Lee Oswald, who was able to help her.

It's clear in retrospect that it was no accident. Oswald, a low-level asset of the intelligence community, had been assigned to contact her and to be her "control."

Once Judyth started working for Dr. Sherman, she learned she was part of the covert government program aimed at killing Castro.

By then she was emotionally dependent on Lee. They had much in common and soon their friendship turned into a love affair.

Oswald confided to her that he worked for U.S. intelligence. He was in New Orleans for the summer to pretend to be a pro-Castro activist, in order to gain credibility with the Cuban government.

He was part of the plan to assassinate Castro. His job would be to "defect" again, this time to Cuba, and take the fast-acting cancer cells with him. Once there, he would make contact with someone who would pass them on to a doctor who treated Castro.

All that summer the covert project went forward. Much of the work was done not at the Ochsner Clinic but at the apartment of a strange man named David Ferrie.* Like Oswald, he was an intelligence asset working in the anti-Castro cause.

Through Ferrie and Oswald, Judyth got to meet many other strange people. including Jack Rubenstein ( aka Jack Ruby. )

By the end of the summer, they had developed a strain of "galloping" cancer and had tested it on monkeys as well as mice. All that remained was to test it on humans.

Judyth was told it would be tested on a terminally ill volunteer. But later she learned he was a healthy man, a mental patient who had no idea what would happen to him. He was injected with the virus and rapidly died. Judyth suspected there were others like him.

She was sickened. This was murder, not medicine. But summer was over and so was her part in the project. Oswald would now leave for Mexico, to make arrangements for carrying the cancer cells to Cuba. But instead of things coming to a close, they began to unravel.

Oswald became convinced that behind the plan to assassinate Castro was a plot to assassinate President Kennedy, a man he admired. He also realized his role in New Orleans -- pretending to be pro-Castro -- could set him up to be a patsy.

While he was in Mexico, he and Judyth remained in contact, through an elaborate phone arrangement with David Ferrie. When his mission fell through for mysterious reasons, Oswald became more convinced than ever that there was an anti-Kennedy plot.

He talked of divorcing Marina; he and Judyth would marry and live in Mexico once all this was over. But it was a forlorn hope. Oswald said he could not leave yet; he had to go on, in the hope that he could protect the President.

The rest is history. It's possible that Oswald was able to thwart an assassination planned to take place in Chicago, but in Dallas the story was different. When Kennedy was killed, Oswald was arrested almost immediately.

Denied a lawyer, held incommunicado except when he was moved from one location to another, he was shot by Ruby, the friend he had known since he was a boy. He was the first person to die live on TV. Judyth was watching.

She got a call from Ferrie. He told her to lie low, to be "a vanilla girl." She must forget about a career in science. Her name must never appear in the newspapers. With luck, she would escape with her life. We must never speak to each other again, he said, and hung up.

DENOUEMENT

A few months later, Dr. Mary Sherman was brutally murdered in her apartment, the day before she was scheduled to appear before the Warren Commission. The case was never solved.

Shortly after Jack Ruby won AN appeal for a retrial, he came down with cancer. He said he had recently been injected with something by the prison doctor. He was dead within weeks.

The next month -- just days after Jim Garrison's investigation was announced in the New Orleans papers -- Ferrie was found dead in his apartment. Also found were two different suicide notes, both typed, both unsigned.

Alton Ochsner, a man of strong convictions and perhaps an equally strong willingness to sacrifice others for them, died full of honors, in 1981, at the age of 85.

Judyth Vary Baker followed Ferrie's advice. She lay low. She stayed silent. She gave up any hope of a medical career. She raised a family and never told anyone about Lee or her life in New Orleans, until after her youngest daughter had married.

Her book, which is exhaustively documented and filled with fascinating detail, is unsparingly honest about herself and free of rancor or blame. She now lives (some say) somewhere in Scandinavia.

The world has been turned upside down. Good men are called assassins and murdered while the real assassins bask in glory.

As for Dr. McA, he never met me. First he heard of me, late in 1999, learning that I said I worked with a well-known cancer researcher, Dr. Mary Sherman, he at once claimed she was not a cancer researcher --she was just an orthopedic surgeon. He never corrected this statement despite the Wall Street Journal front page article on July 21, 1967 describing Sherman as "Cancer expert."



He thanks a number of people for helping him present me as a fruitcake--though these helpers of his also never met me (except one -- R. Chapman--who stood up, then shook my hand before leaving Mary Ferrell's home as soon as I arrived). McA altered emails and portions of correspondence taken out of context and refused to to correct any errors pointed out to him. He has stated that his objective is to break up newsgroups and forums where the JFK assassination is discussed. It's "Case closed" for him. He has built his entire life and academic reputation around the falsehood that Lee H.Oswald killed President Kennedy. He has to stand before God not long from now ("for we are all mortal") and explain himself.

George Bailey has written some good information about the Kennedy assassination and about Lee Oswald.

I was concerned, then, when a friend allowed me to use his computer today (I am en route to a third world country) so I could see George's remarks....which can be read here...

George didn't appreciate a nervous laugh I made when asked about death threats in the Nov. 22 Coast-to-Coast interview. he waned me to spend that precious few minutes giving details.

Suffice that I had incidents occur just prior to the interview of Nov. 22. What happened to me in London in May, 2010, was equally disturbing to friends there. Dr. Jim Fetzer was made aware --at once-- of several intimidating and outright threatening events that occurred there. We went ahead with those interviews anyway.

I was accepted as a political asylum seeker and given protection over ten months in the EU political asylum system due to death threats. I felt people don't want to hear about that: I believed they preferred to hear what I could say in such a short time about Lee Oswald, a hero.

With very limited time to speak on Coast-to-Coast from a location I wished to keep confidential, I was not about to give time or glory to the clods who were persecuting me, trying to intimidate me.
So this is my reply, George, to your statement:

"When asked by host George Knapp about the death threats she said she has gotten, she never gave a straight answer and laughed it off. I wish she had been more forthcoming on the threats and how they were delivered."

I had only a few minutes to speak, after which the cell phone used would be mailed back to the person who lent it to me, never to be used by me again.


...I was on my way out of the country, but due to an incident that very day, had to actually call in from a different location than the one originally planned...

For those uninformed, my laugh was not because I thought receiving death threats was "funny."

Unhealthy or "nervous" laughter...is not true laughter, but an expression of tension and anxiety. Instead of relaxing a person, nervous laughter tightens them up even further.

JUDYTH REPLIES TO JACK ABOUT HER LETTERS
This response serves as a reply to post #1111 from Jack as well as this one. I have been snowed under by the blizzard and want to post Judyth's reply promptly.
I find it fascinating how many who are attacking Judyth
--including Glenn Viklund, Barb Junkkarinen, and (now)
even Jack White--appear entirely willing to depend upon
John McAdams. We are way past the point of (what is known as) diminishing returns in relation to this thread.
JUDYTH RESPONDS:How sad. Jack White has been accessing John McAdams' pages, for only there is my love letter to Lee described as Jack has described it. Jack has been fooled by McAdams & Co. into saying that I "presented a lot of "love letters" written to Robert as being to LHO (salutations torn off)." He parrots these lies as if they are facts:'presented a lot of love letters' is what the McAdams site say. This is a sad day, to see Jack state such a thing, when I could have answered his questions fully.

i) I presented ONLY ONE love letter to "60 Minutes"
--the only one I ever wrote to Lee.
ii) There is only ONE letter to Robert Baker inthe record. I saved it to prove the situation in New Orleans. The other letter was to Lee. I never had
possession of any other of Robert Baker's love
letters. Of course he has them (unless his wife threw
them away).

I am sorry to see Jack taking time to read material offered by the WC defender,John McAdams, and his cohorts. Here is what Jack wrote:

Jack, you went to the Internet and are now parrotting what you found there. You
could have asked questions instead of stating 'factoids' from McAdams & Co.

Now you'll get the facts.

1) Typically, Robert Baker does not respond. However, his wife may respond for him, pretending to be Robert Baker. Dr. Howard Platzman exposed her as POSING as Robert Baker in emails.

She married Baker in the late 1980's and knewnothing of what transpired in 1963.

However, she said Robert Baker remembered returning to Florida on July 20, 1963.
He (or, rather, she) said I was lying about saying any later.But paycheck stubs, utility payment checks, bank statements, and more show that we remained
in New Orleans until early SEPTEMBER. Robert Baker was 'off' on the date by six weeks. He was out of town so much he has few memories of New Orleans.
2) Mr. Baker is a genius with an IQ of 186,measured and known. However, his memory of
details many other people recall is dismal.
A math genius, he was unable to remember his own mother's maiden name when asked for it on our marriage license. I attach our marriage license,showing a blank there.

He could not remember the names of his elementary school teachers. He forgot what
grade his oldest son was in. He spent morereal time with his parents that summer than he spent in New Orleans, and the rest of his time was out in the Gulf of Mexico. We have his dated letters showing exactly where he was all summer,and what he was doing. We can account for every single day where he was--something he
is unable to do. He did admit that I might have had an affair that summer, though he is certain (and is correct) that was the only time I would have conducted an affair. Ho

wever, his wife may comeup with some stories for you, posing as him.

3) The love letter that is supposed to have its salutation torn off'

-- the ONLY leter I ever submitted, the ONLY letter I ever showed anybody, written
to Lee, has its salutation intact. What was torn was
part of a quotation on the right side, top. NOBODY writes a salutation on the upper right-hand corner. It's always on the left-hand side.


McAdams & Co. wrote: "notice there is no name
for recipient; section torn off."
But let's examine this letter and see if it could have been written to my much-absent husband who neglected me the entire summer, who left me alone in New Orleans one day after we were married, without tellng me how to reach him.
On the other hand, that summer Lee and I became involved in dangerous matters. This letter was written to Lee after he told me he believed he was going to be killed, and that he was sorry he had gotten me involved in his life. Read the letter and
see how serious it is about life and death. ANYONE who reads my book will know that
Robert's impact on me was very different. He wasgone so much that I decided to divorce him, andonly because I was forced back to Florida by Ochsner did I stay with him. Always fond of him,Robert had

no troubles or trials for me to worry about.

Before going any further, look at the torn-off section: the words 'thou" and "bestowed" can be read. I wrote someting there such as,
"Thou, upon whom I bestowed my love."


There is nothing there to suggest a name torn off....'thou' begins on the same line across as "My dearest love."

Indeed, the letter was given to "60 Minutes" intact.
It was damaged later, when vandals ripped up

many
of my papers. They saw the letter intact.

the letter because he did not dare carry it to Mexico
City, but he did not want it destroyed. We hoped to
keep the letter as part of our history as lovers in
New Orleans. Certainly I own no letters that I wrote
to Robert, except the one I took with me when we
divorced, to prove I came alone to New Orleans.

I originally planned to take my knowledge to the
grave, but wanted evidence passed on to my oldestson.

Thus, I kept the New Orleans letter to Robert. And of course, I kept the precious letter, to Lee..

Note that I underlined the word 'dearest' because I had two lovers in my life at that time:

I wrote: "you are forever immortal because of what we
have between us."
Who brings up death in a love letter?
Who would write (if we fled and had to stay in hiding):

"A lifetime of sorrow could lie ahead for us, but what
difference? Together, today, we live forever!"

And why write "I won't forget" to Robert Baker, who had left me to fend for myself in New Orleans?

I would never forget that Lee rescued me after I was thrown out in the middle of the night onto the streets of New Orleans, and he found me an apartment and paid 1/3 of the rent for it. Robert would be gone up to 21 days at a time, as his letters prove. McAdams & Co. posted what the "fake" Robert Baker [his wife] told them, that 'he' was out a week and home for 4 days at a time, that summer. But his letters and paycheck stubs, which I kept to prove his whereabouts, show that was not the case.

And what about "And I love you forever, dearest beloved, no matter what! Kisses and love,
your Judy."

No matter what?

We didn't know what was going to happen to us!
WHO touched me, 'so gently, so lovingly, so
surely, like the gentlest raindrops on parched soil'?

Who signed off on a letter to me as 'Rat" --
knowing he'd neglected me terribly?

Instead of relying on inaccurate and biased

NOTE: It does seem to be late in the day for Jack to be raising some of these
questions, especially since he never directs them to Judyth. This is one more
manifestation of his his extreme bias against her, which, of course, is shared
by most of those who attack her here. The others, by and large, are not very
surprising and, I suppose, Jack's closed-mindedness should not surprise me,
